Fun, Snow, and Camp Emerson: Your Winter Key To Fun!

Klondike Derbies are a winter weekend camping experience for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing Scouts. Despite the mild climate in Southern California, there is a good chance that the weather will permit you to enjoy a true winter experience in Idyllwild. Activities will range from games played in the snow to group activities and competitions designed to improve a Scout's awareness and winter skills. Klondikes are also an excellent opportunity for Scouts to earn their Penguin Patch, and award given for spending the night camped out in snow.

Sign-up and Registration information will be available soon. If you have questions about availability, please call CIEC Volunteer Services toll-free at (877) 732-1450. If you have questions about the camp facilities or weather, please call the Camp Ranger/Manager Jeff Loefke at (951) 659-2690.
