Klondike Derbies are a winter weekend camping experience for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing Scouts. Despite the mild climate in Southern California, there is a good chance that the weather will permit you to enjoy a true winter experience in Idyllwild. Activities will range from games played in the snow to group activities and competitions designed to improve a Scout's awareness and winter skills. Klondikes are also an excellent opportunity for Scouts to earn their Penguin Patch, and award given for spending the night camped out in snow.

If you have questions about availability, please call CIEC Volunteer Services toll-free at (877) 732-1450. If you have questions about the camp facilities or weather, please call the Camp Ranger/Manager Jeff Loefke at (951) 659-2690.
